Hello lovelies! 😀 We say, “Behold the mighty hunter!” We are up late, listening to some tunes. We finished sharpening one of our survival knives, finished loading our pack and we wanted to share some pictures! The first one is what happens when an arrow in flight cracks something rocky or metal – Dead on.
The arrow head for this arrow is 100 grain – no cutting edges, just a screw on, bullet point. The bow we fired this arrow from is a 55lb pull recurve bow. It’s really nice because we can simply break it down and jam it in our pack!
THWACK! When the arrow hit the rock (That we didn’t see), it sounded to us like .22 caliber rifle shot. It was loud! As you can see, the arrowhead is completely flattened and the paint is pulled from the arrowhead. The entire retainer/arrowhead assembly was jammed back about an inch or so.
This arrow hit with a tremendous amount of force. The impact forced the arrow head and it’s retainer back into the arrow shaft itself, shattering it. What’s amazing that the arrow traveled for 20 yards and retained enough energy to cause this kind of damage! More pics —>
It’s a real bitch to type letting fingernails dry. LOL. Check out the frickin head of this arrowhead. Perhaps the retaining ring can be saved:
Well damn, there goes a perfectly good setup.
Behold, the mighty hunter!
Ignore the awful, horrible, terrible cheap arrow rest on the frame of the bow. 🙂 If you guys out there can believe this, we were complimented on our pink nail polish! Apparently, pink goes good with our tri-racial, brown skin. That’s just fine with us!
The flashbacks are getting really horrible and awful. 😦 Just makes us feel further away from nothing. The worst thing about recovery, perhaps is the loneliness. It’s a battle that we are sure you understand, too.
It’s so hard to know who to trust and when to trust, Especially when you have been harmed, in recovery, specifically. Learning how to forgive is different when one has control over being able to forgive those that hurt us, it’s tricky x3. The problem is, will the rest of us go along with this plan of rebalancing? We’ll see.
Part of our recovery means that we don’t allow people to harm us anymore and that in itself can be sooooooo hard. The other yang side of course is that we can’t harm either. x3. By default, when other’s interact with me they are interacting with three other very touchy people, (At least) as well that aren’t aware of the Ying Yang balance.
When you’re used to be a target for other people’s bad behavior just so that you can exist, that’s what you learn to exist with, by default. We are people pleasers by default, as well. These two things can be a dangerous mix. When to draw that line and when to bust it – When, we ask ourselves, have things become too exaggerated….
We can imagine how tough it is on those around us – We can only imagine having to deal with us for a day 😦 We love you all the more for being so patient when we can be so difficult for seemingly odd, silly reasons. It’s been rough – Awful beyond awful x3.
Tough stuff, our lovelies. Another day, another epic ass kicking expected. Bring it on.
Have a lovely evening everyone! 😀 Thank you for visiting us today! 😀
